Frightened Rabbit’s Scott Hutchinson must be tired of playing material from last year’s Midnight Organ Fight. For a session with the Edinburgh based website Off The Beaten Tracks, Hutchinson opted instead to play an old classic, a cover, and a brand new song. Sandwiched between Sing The Greys standout “Be Less Rude” and an excellent cover of Neutral Milk Hotel’s “Song Against Sex” is the newbie “Swim Until You Can’t See Land”, which may appear on the Scottish band’s upcoming album that is being produced by Peter Katis (The National’s Boxer). No title or release date has been set for the album. The session can be found here.
In other Frightened Rabbit news, they have teamed up with fellow Scots The Twilight Sad and We Were Promised Jetpacks for a North American Tour, resulting in one of the greatest lineups for a non-Festival I have ever heard of.
